Registration for the 2022-23 season is now open! All players must be registered no later than May 11th to attend tryouts. Please click here to register your player.
High School Tryouts:
Monday May 16th - 3:00pm-4:20pm - rising 11th and 12th graders; 4:30pm-5:50pm - rising 9th and 10th graders.
Monday, May 23rd - 3:00-4:20 - Group 1; 4:30-5:50 - Group 2.
Additional notes: Players please bring both PT jerseys. Players will be assigned their jersey color at the first tryout session. If the player does not have Peters jerseys, please bring dark and white jerseys, preferably with their name on the back.
Players will be told if they are in group 1 or 2 at the end of the first tryout session on Monday. The names will not be posted anywhere. Tryouts will continue when school resumes at the end of summer. At that time, players should wear the same color and jersey and skate with their assigned group (group 1 or 2), as they did during the spring tryout sessions.
Middle School Tryouts:
Tuesday, May 17th - 5:00pm - 5:50pm.
Saturday, May 21st - 2:30pm-3:50pm.
Middle School eligible players are rising 6th-8th graders AND at least second year Peewee for the 2022-23 season. Middle School players should bring both of their PT jerseys and will be told what color to wear at the first tryout session. If the player doesn’t have Peters jerseys, they should bring dark and white jerseys, preferably with their name on the back.
Note: The MS team is limited by PIHL rules to a maximum of five 2nd year Peewee players, regardless of grade. Player placement will be communicated by a telephone call to the player’s parents by the MS coach within 4 days of the last tryout. Any players attending tryouts that are not placed on the PIHL MS team will be placed on the Jr Indians unless expressly declined by the parents.

The Board would also like to announce the stepping down of Bill Kern as VP. We would like to thank Bill for his support and dedication to the PTHC. Since his term has not expired and there is one year remaining on his term, the Board will now take nominations for his position. Deadline for those interested is Monday, April 25th at 5:00PM EST. Interviews for this position will follow SHORTLY.
Interested parties should inform the board at petershockey@gmail.com Please note that the interviews will occur during the ensuing days (in the evening) after the nomination closes, to ensure the board has adequate time to come to a decision before April 29th.
5-4 Win Over Malvern Prep
Congratulations to our Varsity Class AAA Pen's Cup Champions! They will move on to compete for the State Championship this Saturday, 5:00 against Malvern Prep, in Philadelphia.
Good luck to Varsity as they battle Seneca Valley for the Pen's Cup, tomorrow 6:30 @ UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex.
For those who will be attending, please note that ALL spectators must have a ticket, including children under 12.

James DeAngelo passed away tragically on Sunday, July 4th, 2021. James was a 2016 Peters Township graduate and a part of our Indians Hockey family.
This season, our Varsity team will be wearing #55 on every helmet, in memory of James DeAngelo. There will be a brief tribute to James beginning at 6:30pm, prior to our first home game agains Bethel Park, on Tuesday, 10/12. We are asking all PT families and students to come, wearing school colors, and fill the stands to show your support of our hockey team and the DeAngelo family.

Peters Township Jr. Indians Ice Hockey 2021-22 Season Registration is now open! Click here to register now. Please note, from now through 9/12, a 10% discount will apply. After 9/12, the season fee will be $400.
Who Can Play: All Peters Township hockey players in grades 1 through 8, beginners to AA Players.
When: Sign Up and Skate will be an open skate for all players on September 12th from 4:00-5:50PM. The Jr. Indians season (practices and games) will begin on October 3rd.
Where: Printscape Arena, Southpointe
Price for the Season: $400/player (Registration from now through 9/12 will be discounted at $360).
Note: Each player will be required to purchase their own jersey. Order information will be provided after sign up. The cost is approximately $50.
This year the program will be managed by Varsity Head Coach, Rick Tingle, Matt Harmon and John Nemmer. Practices become skill development sessions that are open to all players and are highly recommended, but not required to play games. In addition to the Jr. Indians coaches, skill sessions will include coaches from all levels of PT Hockey from Varsity to Middle School, with the goal of challenging all players to improve their skill level. Practices will usually occur early Sunday evenings, with approximately 10-15 games throughout the season.
